To meet our growth, we have created a brand new payroll accounting clerk position!
As a payroll accounting clerk, you will be working with numbers at all levels! If you are passionate about compensation and a jack of all trades, this is an excellent opportunity to join the ranks of a human-sized company that has the wind in its sails!
More precisely, you will have to:
- Ensure the complete payroll cycle:
- Manage and maintain the timekeeping and time management system;
- Keep employee records up to date;
- Recommend, develop and coordinate projects to improve compensation management practices/policies/procedures in order to attract and retain staff.
- Process employee timesheets as well as client timesheets for invoicing purposes;
- In collaboration with the SST representative, coordinate the company’s health and safety and prevention activities;
- Process CNESST claims and manage active files;
- Complete and compile various HR reports;
- Coordinate the implementation of changes in working conditions and benefits;
- Manage group insurance memberships as well as update employment records and upon termination of employment;
- Manage training needs: recommend training and coordinate the organization of training based on identified needs;
- Compile training information: legal obligations and renewal of training with deadlines;
- Manage agreements with subcontractors regarding work clothing and ensure follow-up;
- Assume certain responsibilities arising from the hiring of foreign workers (arrivals and departures, processing of special cases, etc.) in support of the recruitment agency;
- Keep informed of existing laws and/or government measures related to compensation and be the resource for their proper application;
- Embody teamwork by supporting the administrative team in carrying out their mandates.
What does it take to be a good payroll accounting clerk?
- A degree in administration or a related field (AEC, DEC, Certificate or Bacc) combined with 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll processing;
- Experience with payroll processing in a CCQ/RBQ environment;
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations governing compensation;
- Experience with payroll processing using the Nethris system is a major asset;
- Bilingual English-French

Employment Conditions
- While the construction of the new plant is being completed, the payroll accounting clerk will be required to share their time between our two facilities, one being in Montreal (near the Olympic Stadium) and the other in St-Mathieu-de-Beloeil. Teleworking is allowed on an occasional basis. Once construction is complete and the move is made, the workplace will be located in Mont-St-Hilaire.
