Context
Concerned about respecting the right to privacy and the protection of personal information, Mount Royal Walsh has adopted a policy on the protection of personal information in accordance with the law on the protection of personal information in the private sector (RLRQ c. P-39.1, hereinafter Law)
By communicating personal information to Mount Royal Walsh (in particular via its website, its customer portal, by email, in person or by telephone) you agree that Mount Royal Walsh will process it in accordance with what is indicated in this Policy on the protection of personal information.

Responsibility
Mount Royal Walsh is responsible for the protection of the personal information it holds.
All members of its staff must take necessary measures to ensure the security of personal information, regardless of the nature of the medium or the form in which it is accessible: written, graphic, audio, visual, computerized, or other. For the purposes of this policy, we mean:
Anonymized information: Any information that no longer allows, irreversibly, to identify a person directly or indirectly.

Mount Royal Walsh ensures that the personal information it holds is up to date, accurate and used only for the purposes for which it was collected. If you notice any inaccuracies in our records or if your personal information changes, please notify us immediately.

Conservation, destruction, and anonymization

Mount Royal Walsh retains information for the period necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected. In addition, it keeps them in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations which govern the retention period.
When it is no longer necessary to retain personal information, Mount Royal Walsh will destroy or anonymize it depending on the circumstances.

Likewise, Mount Royal Walsh may, without the consent of the person concerned, communicate personal information that it holds about others, in particular:
– To his prosecutor
– To the director of criminal and penal prosecutions if the information is required
– To a person to whom it is necessary to communicate the information within the framework of a law applicable in Quebec
– To a person who, by virtue of the law, can collect debts for others and who requires it for this purpose for the exercise of his functions.

Privacy incident

However, no notice will be sent to a person concerned by a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious harm if this is likely to hinder an investigation carried out by a person or an organization which is responsible for preventing, detecting, or suppressing the crime or violations of laws.

Limit of liability

The use of technologies such as the internet involves significant risks. As a result, it is impossible to guarantee that the personal information you provide is completely secure. However, rest assured that Mount Royal Walsh implements all reasonable means at its disposal to protect your data.
Consequently, you acknowledge that Mount Royal Walsh and its employees cannot be held responsible for any damage of harms that may arise or result, directly or indirectly, from a violation of the confidentiality of date and/or information transmitted via the internet to Mount Royal Walsh.
